We are looking for an Assistant Director of Finance.
The Assistant Director of Finance manages the day-to-day operation of the Accounting Office. Primary responsibilities include financial analysis and financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, audit and control, asset and liability reconciliation, working capital and cash control.
THE ROLE

Previous experience in a 5 Star Luxury Hotel
Advocates sound financial/business decision-making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example
Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensures employees do the same within the team
Leverages strong functional leadership and communication skills to influence the management team and to lead own team
Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
Ensures that the P&L is accurate (i.e., costs are properly matched to revenue, costs are recorded in the proper accounts) and statements are delivered to appropriate individuals in a timely manner
Reconciles balance sheet and ensures account balances are supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with SOPs
Has experience in Opera, Birch Street and high proficiency in Excel and other accounting suites
Adhere to OH&S requirements, promptly respond to emergencies, and prioritise the safety of both guests and staff
Exhibit proficiency in accurately managing accounts, and analysing reports and data
Closely monitor budgets, expenditure, and revenue to make informed operational decisions and achieve financial objectives

ABOUT YOU

You know how to bring your personality to work and bring the best out of our Talent
Previous experience in a fast paced hotel environment at a Management Level
Strong Leadership and team management skills
Proven track record of outstanding guest satisfaction and being able to create memorable moments
The ability to drive and manage staff performance across multiple departments
Must possess professional presentation and sophisticated communication skills
Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and other relevant software
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and poise
