Clerk Grade 5/6 Salary ($93,295 - $102,941 per annum) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
Are you passionate about project management and keen to make an impact at the local and regional levels for disaster preparedness and recovery coordination? We are seeking an organised and proactive Assistant Coordination Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our project development and delivery efforts, contributing to a variety of tasks including stakeholder collaboration, planning, reporting, and administrative support.
About the Role:

Provide essential project and operational support by monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones, and deliverables to ensure alignment with time, cost, and quality indicators.
Take the lead collaborating with various stakeholders to provide proactive planning for disaster recovery coordination within assigned local government areas.
Update and manage project documentation to ensure adherence to agreed project management methodologies.
Provide agency representation during times of disaster and recovery delivery working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing related documentation.
Collaborate with colleagues to share insights, develop efficient work practices, and assist with disaster preparedness and management across local and/or regional areas.

You are a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Your experience in project support and administration has equipped you with the skills needed to excel in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in roles that require both independent work and collaboration, and your excellent communication skills enable you to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Proven experience in project coordination, research, and stakeholder collaboration.
Demonstrated understanding of emergency management arrangements within NSW.
Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with communities across regional and metropolitan areas for a positive outcome.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while supporting team efforts across different projects.

In addition to this, you will also meet the following essential requirements:

An ability and willingness to travel within NSW supporting operational roles during disasters, emergencies, and events, consistent with skills, background and personal circumstances.
Current unrestricted NSW drivers' licence

About the Agency:
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, NGOs, businesses, and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.
