Cricket is so much more than just a game; it brings people together and binds us all through our shared experiences.This is your opportunity to join a purpose led organisation that truly makes a difference to Australians.ABOUT THE ROLEThis is an exciting time for us, as we have created a brand new Assistant Coach – Wicket Keeping & Fielding position within our Cricket department to support our Australian Women's Team.We're looking for someone to bring passion, drive and expertise to elevate our Australian players and identified players with the potential to play for Australia, particularly in the skill areas of wicket keeping and fielding. This will include player preparation, skill development and measurement, and support of a high performance culture to produce the best teams and players in the world.If you have experience and success in driving improvements in wicket keeping and fielding, can provide technical advice and solutions to help develop our national wicket keeping and fielding strategy, and have the capability to challenge constructively and collaborate with a national network of coaches and performance support staff, we want to hear from you.Reporting to the Head Coach, Australian Women's Team, you'll be responsible for:Supporting a high performance culture and environment.Enabling player improvement and performance through world leading programs.Driving team performance and results in international competitions.Understanding current trends to challenge constructively and utilising technology to support player development and performance.Providing expertise and leadership of specialist skill areas (wicket keeping and fielding) to add value to national and domestic programs.Supporting the connection, collaboration and alignment of the national network of coaches and performance support staff to drive wicket keeping and fielding outcomes.Managing and developing depth of talent in wicket keeping and fielding to support succession planning decisions and sustain long term success.Leading by example and role modelling our Values.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORHigh Performance Coach Accreditation (CA Level 3 or equivalent)Elite coaching methodology and experienceDemonstrated expertise and success in driving improvements in specialist skill area (wicket keeping and fielding)Proven ability to develop relationships and improve player, team and system performanceAstute judgment, decision making ability and problem solving capabilityAbility to source, interpret and apply detailed performance data and informationCompetency in short and long term performance planningCredibility and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groupsHigh performance learning mindsetPossess a detailed understanding of the Australian Cricket systemA tertiary qualification in coaching/sports science or a related field, competence with Microsoft Office 365 and operating knowledge of CA Athlete Management System (AMS) is not essential, but will be highly regarded.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?Our employees at Cricket are gifted an additional week of leave at the end of the season!
