About the roleAs an Assistant Auditor-General, you will play a crucial leadership role in shaping the strategic direction of the Office, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services, and lead an engaged and capable team.
You will:
lead audit programs and ensure quality and efficiencyprovide expert advice and manage audit teamsresearch and advise on audit-related issues and contribute to strategic planningrepresent the Office and promote ethical behaviour.Skills and experienceYou will showcase your:
Strategic leadership and planning: Ability to develop and implement strategies, influence others, and lead change.Financial expertise: Strong understanding of accounting, auditing, and financial management principles.Stakeholder management: Ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including government officials, community groups, and industry representatives.Technical skills: Proficiency in financial analysis, data analysis, and evaluation of complex audits.Ethical conduct: Commitment to high standards of professional and ethical behaviour.Analytical and communication skills: Ability to prepare insightful reports, clearly communicate audit findings and recommendations to the Auditor-General and Tasmanian Parliament.Qualifications and experienceYou will have:
