Part-Time Accountant(0.5-0.6 FTE) - Make a Difference in Marine ConservationHobart, Australia

The Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) is seeking a part-time, highly motivated Accountant to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania.
About the Role: Play a vital role in supporting CCAMLR's mission of conserving Antarctic marine life by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.
In this part-time position (negotiable hours from 37.5 to 45 hours per fortnight) you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including:
Assisting with budget preparation, forecasts, and monthly management account preparation.Supporting year-end closing procedures, financial statement preparation and interacting with auditors.Contributing to the management of CCAMLR's investments and special funds.Providing support with international financial reporting and tax requirements.Coordinating payroll and superannuation for staff.Maintaining general ledger accounts, processing journals, and reconciling bank statements.Managing accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely payments and collections.Why Choose Us?
