The position supports the Assistant Finance Manager and operational accountants in the provision of reports, advice and appropriate accounting controls to minimise financial risk to the business. The position also supports the business with planning and forecasting processes, as well as maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist in the month-end reporting process for all departments including estimates and actuals, ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with departmental & corporate timelines.Provide input into the forecasting process.Conduct analysis on expenditure including variance analysis, productivity ratios & margin analysis.Liaise with other departments to investigate, verify and confirm the treatment of accounting transactions, ensuring they are in accordance with company policies and relevant accounting legislative requirements.Continually review financial processes & system usage in order to maximise productivity, eliminate multiple handling & provide effective information to Assistant Finance Manager.Key selection criteria:Must have tertiary qualifications in accounting or related major and be a member of CA or CPA (or working towards this).Familiarity with Peoplesoft Accounting software would be advantageous.Advanced level of Excel experience is preferred.Prior experience as an assistant and financial accountant is preferred.Demonstrated experience working as part of a team and being able to prioritise competing deadlines.What we offer you:Salary of $87,487.Full-time opportunity, based in Crown Sydney's corporate office in Barangaroo.Hybrid working flexibility (2 days from home, 3 days from the office).Great room for growth on the team in the future.Complimentary meals at our on-site staff restaurant.Generous discounts across Crown hotels and restaurants Australia wide.Access to discounts with our various corporate partners across travel, insurance, health & wellbeing, fashion, banking & finance, technology, parking.Applications close: Sunday 18 January 2025 #J-18808-Ljbffr
