We empower our people to be empathic, high-performing and creative, and contribute to communities.The RoleThe Assistant Accountant will be reporting to the Senior Accountant - Australia and will be responsible for assisting the finance team with month end reporting, general ledger transactions and reconciliations. You will also ensure that the management reporting and the general ledger are accurate and delivered within the designated timeframe.Key AccountabilitiesBalance SheetMaintain fixed asset registersAssist with maintaining Balance Sheet Reconciliations including but not exclusive to:Prepayments,Contractor accruals,Clearing accounts,Accounts receivable,Accounts payable,Contract liabilities.Month EndCalculating for review and upon approval the processing of month end journals including items such as prepayments, accruals, payroll journals, etc.Assist with month end checks to ensure that all P&L entries are accurate.SurveysQuarterly Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys.GeneralAny other items requested by the Senior Accountant, Financial Controller, Group Finance Manager or other members of the Finance team.About YouBachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
