We now have the exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team.
THE ROLE
This position is offered on 12 months fixed term contract to cover parental leave you and will be responsible for:
Maintaining general ledger, balance sheets and P&L reconciliations Collaborating on month-end reporting Processing and preparing monthly journals Accrual and prepayment calculations Liaising with other business units to resolve reconciliation discrepancies . Bank reconciliations and statements Assisting in day-to-day accounting and functions that include accounts payables and data entries Other ad-hoc duties and reporting as required ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Business or Accounting Degree working towards CA/CPA qualification Advanced Microsoft Excel is essential Experience with Pronto would be advantageous A passion for analytics and numbers Ability to start immediately is highly advantageous Experience within the mining and resource sector or similar role is desirable IN RETURN
