Our proven project teams readily address complex and multi-disciplinary activities, providing low-risk and cost-effective solutions to the defence force.Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM)The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS).
The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS.
The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre's (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades.
The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services.
The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.The Opportunity:KBR is seeking an experienced Asset Sustainment Manager to provide senior leadership and direction across the ACS CLCM Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain/AIC, and Optimisation functional groups.Acting as the Deputy to the CLCM Program Director (CLCM PD), the Asset Sustainment Manager will be responsible for the provision of Asset Sustainment and Management Services, facilitating Sustainment Material Stewardship, and will drive continuous improvement and performance across the CLCM.The Asset Sustainment Manager will be authorised to direct efforts of the CLCM organisation within the constraints of the approved contract.The Asset Sustainment Manager will be required to work on-site out of Garden Island Defence Precinct, Sydney, Australia.Responsibilities:Provide a cooperative and collaborative workforce environment to achieve the contract objectives.Develop a positive ACS CLCM culture with the Commonwealth through open communication and discussing all issues with transparency.Accountable to the CLCM PD to deliver and maintain the AWP and FYWP (Work Programs).Provide short to long term strategic forward planning.Provide team integration and interaction outcomes between the ACS CLCM and the Asset Capability Enterprise (ACE) which includes the ACS Assets key staff.Drive continuous Improvement and Performance Analysis across the ACS CLCM / ACE.Demonstrates understanding of the ISO 55001 standard.Provide vessel seaworthiness assurance to the CoA.Direct reports are:Engineering Support ManagerMaintenance Support ManagerSupply Chain / AIC ManagerAsset Optimization ManagerContract Standing Capability ManagerAs the ideal candidate you will bring:Essential:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience coupled with relevant qualifications.Minimum 10-15 years' experience in undertaking project management.Minimum of 10 years' experience in a Defence or related technical industry (CASG/Defence Programmes/Defence Industry).Experience in taking responsibility for engineering decisions within a complex regulatory framework and ensuring that safe operations are maintained.Requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the engineering / ILS realm.Requires relevant experience to manage and provide:Leadership and direction.Senior organisation and administration management skillsPeople communication skillsStrategic sustainment forward planning and optimisation of effort.Risk Management controls.Financial Control.Verbal and Written Communication.Desired:Project Management qualifications.Minimum of 10 years' experience in Project management (Defence or Defence Industry).Experience in Engineering, Maintenance and ILS product delivery.Experience with Department of Defence systems (Tools).All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance.
