Who we're looking for: This role reports to the Risk Manager of passenger and light commercial vehicle assets and involves setting and managing the end of lease (residual) value of vehicles and maintenance budgets for FleetPartners Australia and New Zealand. The role is also responsible for reporting on lease portfolio metrics, maintaining the integrity and quality of vehicle attribute and sales data, managing internal data repositories, and supporting the broader risk department. (Note: this is not an IT or business analyst role).
What you'll be doing: Key deliverables: Day to day residual value and maintenance recommendations in support of Sales team for customer quotation or competitive tendersReview and recommend residual value positions for all vehicles to be quoted by the businessRecommend maintenance budgets for all quotable vehicles within various asset classesAd hoc portfolio analysis to support business decisionsProactively identify opportunities to improve day-to-day processesRun monthly valuations of current portfolio, analyse outputs and provide insightsThis will be achieved through: Analysis of large volumes of motor vehicle sales data to identify price trends and movements to set residual values at end of leaseUtilising Excel for analysis, modelling and calculation of forecast residual values in a complex matrix of multiple variablesBeing familiar with motor vehicle specifications and knowledge of vehicle market trends to support the data analysis and residual value setting processSupport business to manage both residual value and maintenance risks across the designated portfolios and maintain residual value and maintenance tables in the relevant systemExtensive data analysis and collaborative engagement with internal and external stakeholders and working within a small team environmentWe're looking for someone who's… Tertiary qualified in a quantitative or commercial discipline e.g. Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or similarWorking experience in a commercial analytical role including valuation, forecasting, pricing and costingWorking experience with SAS Enterprise Guide, SQL & Microsoft Office SuiteAn appreciation of motor vehiclesSound experience in the quantitative analysis of data and application of qualitative insight to derive forecast valuationsExperience in leasing or automotive sector would be advantageousAnalytical and conceptual in nature with a passion for using data to elicit key insights and trendsStrong communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with multiple stakeholdersDesire to present new ideas and challenge the status quo to drive continuous improvementAbility to work well under pressure, handle multiple concurrent tasks, meet deadlines and deliver resultsAttention to detailHighly organised and self-motivated, able to work autonomously or in groups without the need for managerial supervisionAbility to provide evidence-based recommendations to internal and external stakeholdersWe offer: We are always developing our benefits for our staff, this includes up to 27 days annual leave, flu jabs, corporate discounts and hybrid working arrangements.We like to see our team grow, develop and succeed at FleetPartners; therefore, we pride ourselves with providing promotion and secondment opportunities.We like our team to enjoy their working environment and culture, we do this by quarterly recognition awards, office/ external events and by celebrating our core C-A-R-E values.Next Steps If you are successful in your application, then we will be in touch with you soon.
