We are actively searching for an experienced Asset Manager to join our team located in Breadalbane, Tasmania.ABOUT THE ROLEReporting to the General Manager, you will lead the asset management function for DIGGA's fleet of mobile and minor assets. You will provide leadership, expertise, and valuable support to the business by implementing standards and processes that drive reliability and operational efficiency. From the tendering phase through to asset acquisition, scheduled maintenance and disposal, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle management of all company assets.Manage, develop, and implement process that drives asset health initiatives.Develop budgets and financial strategies which ensure asset portfolio ROI.Manage businesses asset register and supplementary systems asset data.Ensure safety and compliance at all times.Experience with a mixed fleet of light vehicles and heavy equipment,Minimum 5 years' experience with mobile plant and equipment.Leadership skills to maintain and develop the effectiveness of the maintenance team.Ability to lead and engage people through change.Ability to prioritize competing tasks, activities and requirements of others.A proactive, flexible and innovative approach to problem solving.Proven experience in planning, forecasting and budget preparation.Intermediate or above skills with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.Cost conscious but value aware in all facets of the role.Ability to develop, implement and manage a maintenance business system inclusive of writing and updating maintenance procedures and documents.Ability to coordinate multiple activities across multiple sites.ABOUT YOUTo be successful you will possess the following:Ideally you've been a Diesel Mechanic or maintenance foreman, and progressed into asset management.You have financial literacy.Experience in construction and mining industries is desirable.Digga Excavations operates nationwide specialising in the provision of civil construction and excavation services to a broad client base.Digga Excavations are a locally owned and operated Tasmanian company with the capacity to offer clients a complete service from preliminary consultancy through to completion, including initial planning and budgetary advice.We are able to provide a varied and highly qualified workforce for any project.
