The Role Southern Ports is recruiting an Asset Inspections Lead to join their team in any one of our locations (Perth, Bunbury, Albany or Esperance).
The Asset Inspections Lead will be responsible for maintaining the inspection schedule, based on sound engineering advice and principles.
Part of this responsibility will be to work with the engineering team to develop standardised Scope of Work documents for the inspection process and maintain these documents to ensure effective and comprehensive inspections are undertaken as planned and to the level of detail required by the organisation.
Another key aspect of the inspection co-ordination function is arranging the inspections with key stakeholders at the various sites, ensure the inspection activities are captured within the Digital Asset Management System, report on the status of inspections to planned timelines, facilitate close-out meeting with key stakeholders and finally ensuring that inspection reports are appropriately filed for future reference.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Support the Development and Implementation of a best practice asset management system across Southern Ports.Assist with utilisation of digital processes to optimise renewals decision-making processes so as to reliably determine optimal treatments and associated timings.Evaluate business performance metrics and execute plans and activities to close identified performance gaps.Co-ordinate and facilitate professional condition inspection practices across the business.Work in collaboration with engineers to develop a standardised set of inspection plans for assets across the SPA business.Imbed the inspection schedule into the relevant CMMS to ensure inspections completed and traced across all sites, to provide transparency of the process.Develop an execution plan and reporting process for asset inspections.Ensure Digital Asset Management Systems are updated in alignment with SPA's strategic direction and corporate plans.Establish, monitor and report against budgets assigned for asset condition inspection tasks.Understand asset risk exposure and ensure risks are communicated and escalated where appropriate.The Expertise Degree in Engineering or Facilities Management or extensive relevant workplace experience.Significant workplace experience in technology, digitization, asset management, asset maintenance across mining, industrial or port operations.Specialist knowledge of Asset Inspection and Maintenance Methodologies.Understanding of condition monitoring systems and innovative condition reporting techniques.Detailed understanding of sources of information to assess asset health.Proven consultation, facilitation, liaison and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the preparation of reports, briefing papers and correspondence.Sound teamwork and interpersonal skills.Excellent organisation, planning, reporting, problem solving, and coordination skills.Requirements To apply, please submit your application through our advertisement.
