VCAT The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. About the Role VCAT is seeking an Assessment & Hearing Coordinator to join the Human Rights Division to evaluate and provide recommendations on the most suitable hearing method for applications submitted under the Guardianship & Administration Act 2019.
The position will work closely with the administration teams and will utilise strong communication and analytical skills to enhance the hearing experience and attendance of the person the application is about and other persons within an application.
The successful candidate will play an important role within the division by reviewing information and engaging with the person the application is about, relevant parties, and persons with a direct interest in the matter.
This role will contact persons with disabilities and their supports to determine how best to support attendance, taking into consideration their circumstances.
The role requires making informed judgments, analysing information from various sources, and maintaining a strong customer service focus.
