The Senior Finance Officer is responsible for the provision of financial management and accounting services for the school sport team by providing effective bookkeeping, accounting and financial reporting through MYOB.
The role works closely with the Department for Education Account Client Services and external auditors to ensure that school sport complies with ATO reporting requirements and financial processes.
The Senior Finance Officer provides a consultancy/advisory service for school-based district/zone finance officers providing relevant material and advice on GST, BAS and internal controls to ensure consistency of practice.

Desirable Qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in financial services/accounting/bookkeeping or equivalent experience.

Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
