Area Manager – Murchison Region
Weir Minerals Perth, WA Onsite Purpose of Role: Weir Minerals is seeking an experiencedArea Manager or Technical Professional, to provide aftermarket sales support for all Weir equipment to ensure strong spare parts and service business sales performance for our client based in the Murchison WA minerals region.

Working with all levels of clients from Mine Managers to Production and Maintenance staff, you will create relationships through both face-to-face site visits and office-based communications. Using your well-adverse consultative and business development skills, you will foster trust, reliability and strength through knowledge of the Weir Group of products and services, with the ultimate goal of having integrated solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Focus on aftermarket support for all Weir equipment to ensure technical support, strong spare parts and service business performance. Understand and act upon the most crucial needs of key customers, engaging with supportive resources within the business to provide outstanding customer service levels. Develop marketing strategies in conjunction with the Sales Manager. Travel to customer sites to manage and build relationships with the client. Develop and achieve growth and aftermarket retention strategies that cascade down into site specific objectives customised to individual customers' needs. Meet and exceed all given sales KPI's and metrics. Conduct GAP analysis reports to track & report market share and opportunity, devising solutions for any identified gaps. Prepare and maintain accurate customer business records and CRM tools. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of industry processes, competitors and commercial influences. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Experience in a sales role within the minerals processing industry or similar, managing multiple products and services Experience with Heavy Engineering Equipment such as Pumps and Centrifuges will be highly regarded but not essential. Trade certificate or degree in Mechanical Engineering is desirable Willingness to attend client site for a minimum of 9 days per month essential with flexibility regarding how this can be managed Bilingual in English and Mandarin would be a significant advantage but not essential Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport Proven ability and experience presenting proposals to customers. Ability to problem solve and be an active listener. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. High level of initiative and problem-solving skills with the ability and drive to follow through with required actions. Mechanical Knowledge (advantageous) Application Closing Date: 26.08.2024
