THE ROLE The Area Manager is responsible for the business outcomes of the retail stores allocated to the area's portfolio.
This objective will be achieved through providing support and guidance to local store management by utilizing retail and business subject matter expert knowledge.
This will ensure customer service levels, financial return, and the operational needs of the stores are achieved.
Work collaboratively within teams to achieve common goals.Demonstrate a commitment to the BSL's quality framework and culture by participating in and promoting quality actions through continual improvement activities.Provide coaching and support to all direct reports in the performance of their duties, monitoring and providing appropriate feedback in accordance with BSL policies and procedures.Ensure relevant information is distributed clearly, effectively, and aligned with the operational guidelines when communicating with staff, customers, and donors.Actively identify opportunities to improve work processes in store operations through store visitation.Monitor and interpret store budgets and communicate findings on a monthly basis.Salary will be in the range of $87,384.09 - $91,265.95 per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we're looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:
Previous leadership experience in the retail industry, preferably with a combination of volunteers and paid workforce.Proven interpersonal, communication, people management, and negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally, and with people from diverse backgrounds.Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems, make appropriate recommendations, and take ownership for decisions.Demonstrated experience working with recycled goods (desirable).CULTURE BSL employees enjoy a range of flexible work options and other attractive benefits.
