Brunel is working with a prominent player in the macadamia industry to find an Area Manager to oversee orchard operations across multiple orchards just outside of Bundaberg.

You'll be responsible for everything from day-to-day operations and crop production to long-term planning and development.

Responsibilities Macadamia Operations: Oversee orchard activities, including planting, pest control, harvest, and regeneration programs, with a focus on tree health and yield optimisation.
Leadership & Development: Lead and train a team of supervisors and workers to ensure safety, precision, and quality in all tasks.
Strategic Oversight: Contribute to operational planning, budget setting, and forecasting to support business objectives.
Technology & Reporting: Utilise farm management software to maintain records, analyse data, and provide meaningful insights.
Contractor Management: Engage, supervise, and monitor contractors to ensure high standards of work.
Safety Focus: Foster a safe, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture.
Minimum Requirements Technical or tertiary qualifications in horticulture, agriculture, or related fields (highly regarded).
Minimum 5 years in agricultural or horticultural operations, or a Farm Manager ready to take the next step.
Understanding of macadamia orchard requirements or similar crop operations.
Current driver's license; a Chemical Users Certificate is preferred.
Skills and Attributes Practical expertise in orchard or farm management with a hands-on approach.
Proven ability to lead, train, and develop teams.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and experience with farm management software.
Effective interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
