Area Manager - Footwear Nsw & Qld

The opportunity:
We are on the lookout for an Area Manager to join our Footwear team across NSW & QLD. Reporting directly to the Head of Footwear, the Area Manager is responsible for driving sales, leading a thriving culture & developing people internally for future success!

This position will oversee a footprint of Footwear retail stores and Concession network (approximately 10 stores) spread over Sydney and a few in QLD. These will include Hush Puppies, Clarks & our Footwear Myer Concessions across Warringah, Burwood, Sydney CBD, Miranda, Parramatta, Chatswood, Castle Hill, Carindale, Maroochydore & Chermside.
In this role, you are a leader of leaders: driving, coaching and delivering exceptional retail management skills and standards for your region. You empower a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by recommending strategies to improve performance across sales, staff, stock & systems.
To achieve the above, you: Reach KPI targets and ensure staff are aware & trained on the importance of store goals and how to achieve themPrepare monthly rosters costed to achieve store budgetsManage any escalated store or customer complaints if required ensuring they're dealt with promptly and professionallyManage all aspects of the employee life-cycle including recruitment, onboarding and performance managementNurture the growth & development of your direct reports to create a talent pipeline within our retail networkHelp to manage external relationships with department stores, centre management, etc.The skills and experience we are looking for: 3+ years of experience as an Area Manager in fashion apparel or footwear businessAbility to independently travel as required to stores and the Alexandria Support OfficeStrong financial acumen, communication skills, and ability to coach/influence (getting your team to think commercially)People-focused & Motivational Leadership qualitiesAbility to think on your feet & move with a sense of urgencyMake decisions both as a team & independentlyListen & be inclusive of team/peersStrong understanding of retail KPIs/metrics & industry standards.Just some of the perks we offer you: Incentives for achievement of region budgetsQuarterly uniform allowance and car allowanceGenerous discounts for you and your family across Brand Collective's stable of brands!
