In this role, you'll:

Working as part of Transport's Regional and Outer Metropolitan division's Network and Asset team, this role will see you manage the pavement and road corridor infrastructure associated with State roads in West region of NSW.
Your work will seek to maximise safety and whole of life asset performance within available funding constraints.

You will ensure you're across what's happening in your area of West Region and act as the primary decision-maker for all projects under the delegated authority to ensure our roads are as safe as possible.

This includes assisting with the development of the forward maintenance and safety programs through the interpretation of asset data.
This data includes the asset inventory, condition, history, treatment options, cost, road safety analyses and other relevant information.

Your role will also seek to ensure that maintenance programs are delivered in accordance with TfNSW safety, standards and environmental management requirements.

About you:

You are an experienced Project Manager, ideally with a strong road, pavement, drainage and culverts maintenance background and will have demonstrated experience in the management, development and delivery of road safety, rehabilitation, and construction projects.

It is also highly desirable if you have experience in pavement design, familiarity with slope stability programs of work, and experience in the technical aspects of materials and equipment.

The ability to be resilient, work well under pressure, and manage competing priorities will see you succeed in this role.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including community organisations.

You will ideally hold a four-year civil engineering degree qualification from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualification and/or relevant University qualifications and experience, with a technically sound approach to problem solving.

You will also have a valid Australian driver's licence, willing to work outside regular working hours and travel on occasion.
This potentially includes airport travel.
