What you'll deliver with us: As the Principal AI Architect within the Data & AI Architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of AI solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals and Data & AI Reference Architecture. You will coordinate with vendors and also collaborate with the Data & AI Solutions team, overseeing the selection of tools, libraries, and platforms for AI development and deployment. You will be the technical visionary for AI projects, guiding the architecture of AI systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and integration with existing systems. Reporting directly to the Head of Data & AI Architecture, this role will lead a small team of internal and external AI architects. The Principal AI Architect works with executive leadership to define the AI strategy and roadmap. You'll also: Evaluate and recommend AI technologies, frameworks, and platforms that best serve the organization's needs. Design scalable and robust AI architectures that can be integrated seamlessly with existing IT infrastructure in alignment with our Data & AI Reference Architecture. Ensure all AI architecture designs adhere to AI Governance policies and standards to ensure responsible and ethical use of AI. Provide technical guidance and leadership on AI-related projects, ensuring that solutions are technically sound and adhere to industry standards. Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI systems, implementing improvements and optimizations as necessary. Participate in relevant Architecture Forums and Boards, prepare submissions and presentations. Conduct research and development to explore new AI methodologies and techniques that can provide a competitive advantage. About you: We are seeking a strong communicator with an architecture mindset. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and IT specialists, to deliver AI projects. A key skill we are seeking is the ability to discuss risks and trade-offs with senior stakeholders to gain support. Understanding relevant compliance and regulatory frameworks around AI, PII, and Information Management is useful in this position. You'll also need: Minimum of 8 years of experience in Enterprise, Domain, or Solution Architecture, with at least 5 years focused on AI, machine learning, or data science. Proven ability designing and implementing large-scale AI systems in a production environment. Experience in leading technical teams and managing complex AI projects is advantageous. Understanding of any major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) and AI deployment strategies. Expertise in at least one AI/ML framework such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or others. Specialized knowledge of data engineering, big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), and data governance. Familiarity with AI in specific domains such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or reinforcement learning. Strong understanding of MLOps application lifecycle management, CI/CD automation, and operational monitoring and maintenance.
