About the Role
Aramex Newcastle is currently seeking a collaborative, solution focused and growth minded General Manager to effectively oversee the operations of the regional depot, ensuring achievement of profit and sales objectives. This role requires providing strong leadership to the business, franchisees, and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist in business planning to establish, agree upon, and communicate priorities and targets. Manage the performance of direct reports to ensure optimal team efficiency. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent. Meet and exceed customer expectations by maintaining high service standard performance. Foster positive and constructive communication with franchisees, staff, contractors, and suppliers, demonstrating effective leadership. Ensure compliance with the Aramex franchise system and brand. Champion sales, promotion, and marketing efforts. Manage productivity and costs to maintain financial health. Efficiently collect all revenue to maximise business income and profitability. Provide timely and accurate information and reports to the Franchise Business team and FSO stakeholders. Ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements. Execute all assigned responsibilities and tasks with the utmost care and diligence. Adhere to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation to create a safe workplace for staff, franchisees, customers, and the public. Keep management informed of all material matters affecting the operations of the sub-depot and its business within the scope of your duties. Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of management experience (Logistics industries are an advantage). Demonstrable experience with team management and the customer experience. Well-developed analytical skills. Ability to relate to and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the business. Commercially astute. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
