The Agency You'll be joining a mid-size agency responsible for helping Australian communities recover from and prepare for disaster. The Role You'll be joining a medium size strategic communications team, responsible for delivering a broad range of reactive and proactive communication advice and products to a growing, mid-size Government department. This is a non-ongoing or S26 transfer opportunity (no labour-hire) for 12 months, or a permanent transfer for existing APS staff. The salary for this position is between $87,000 and $109,000 + 15.4% super. The actual salary offered will be based on experience, and substantive APS level (if applicable). Role Responsibilities Lead the development, implementation and measurement of external communication strategies Develop material to support communications activities, including tailoring content to different external stakeholders and translating dense materials into plain English and visuals. Write and edit a range of external communication materials, including media releases, newsletter content, emails, social media posts and web content, and ensure content is useful, easy to understand and tailored to users' needs. Manage the production of printed and online publications - including writing and editing content, working closely internal stakeholders and managing external contracts and suppliers (including editing and printing services).
