The Portfolio Management Office sits within the EIA Division, leading on the divisions projects that deliver new digital and data capability. We are seeking to recruit an individual to fulfil a position that will contribute to align the divisions investment, our staff, and projects, with EIA's overall strategic objectives.
The Job Project management activities.Providing portfolio governance and administrative support.Preparing written advice for decision-makers, including briefs, discussion papers, reports, correspondence, recommendations, and presentations.Setting up and managing project meetings and governance meetings, ensuring that all relevant paperwork is up-to-date and disseminated in a timely fashion.Secretariat services, including taking meeting minutes.Financial Management activities.Commercial Management activities.Procurement Management activities.Prepare presentations and formatting documents.Liaising with key stakeholders, both internally and externally. What we are looking for Knowledge and experience Portfolio Management Officer support, including project activities such as project risks, issues and benefits, project health analysis and quality management.Administrative support including contract and procurement processes, financial management including financial reporting.Experience with managing multi-disciplinary supplier teams working in an iterative, Agile approach.Skills and capabilities Strong understanding of a Portfolio Management Office, including project management methodologies.Sound understanding of working on digital or data projects.Strong written communication skills.Strong problem-solving skills.Sound judgement and strategic thinking.Strong organisation skills including the ability to prioritise tasks to deliver high quality outputs under limited supervision.Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.Desirable qualifications Understanding of the Data and Digital Government Strategy, and the Australian Government Digital Service Standard 2.0.Eligibility Citizenship - To be eligible for employment with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water you must be an Australian citizen.
Security Clearance - This position requires a Baseline Vetting security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
