The Role

If you are a permanent APS6 Senior Grant Policy and Services Advisor looking for a S26 transfer or looking for a long term non-ongoing contract, have experience providing grant policy advice, are based in Canberra and have a baseline clearance, then this may be the role you are looking for!
APS6 Senior Grant Policy and Services Advisor S26 Transfer or 12-month non-ongoing role with 6-months extension option Canberra Based Baseline Clearance Essential

Duties:

Providing grant policy advice and guidance to departmental staff, including interpreting and applying legislative and policy frameworks.
Assisting with development and implementation of initiatives and projects such as the Closing the Gap Grants Prioritisation Guide, the Quality Assurance Framework for Grants, and the WoAG Grants Connected Policy working group.
Problem solving on a range of complex grant topics, with a strong client focus.
Building capability, driving grant best practice education and updating related tools and templates.
Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including the Department of Finance, the National Indigenous Australians Agency and Grant Administration Hubs.

Assisting with GrantConnect reporting and contributing to briefs, New Policy Proposals, policy implementation, Senate Estimates and Senate Orders.

Do You Have?

Demonstrated experience in grant or finance related policies, implementation and administration.
Strong strategic and analytical skills including demonstrated experience in providing high quality policy advice, service and guidance in line with financial frameworks and regulations.
Capacity to engage with complex issues, exercising sound judgement and solving problems.
Strong organisational skills, including the ability to meet short deadlines with competing priorities and deliver outcomes to a high standard.
Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and lead engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders, internally and externally.
The ability to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment, both technical and non-technical.

Desirable:

Experience using GrantConnect Experience using a Financial Management Information System and Excel expertise.
Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting.
