Sydney CBD – Hybrid flexibilityImmediate start 12-month contract$60 - 68.51 per hour + superOur Federal Government Client assists the Australian Government to fund hospital and aged care services more efficiently by providing evidence-based price determinations and pricing advice.

The Role:The Hospital Policy and Classification Branch is responsible for developing and maintaining activity-based funding policies and working with clinical, technical, and jurisdictional stakeholders to create national classifications, coding standards, and business rules for the consistent implementation of activity-based funding in public hospitals.

As the APS6 Project Manager, you will support the branch in the following areas:Project Management: Oversee the planning, documentation, and execution of the Classification Project, including monitoring progress, managing milestones, and proactively identifying and resolving risks and issues.Communication Coordination: Manage communications, including scheduling and documenting project meetings.
Prepare agenda papers, minutes, and assist with other project documentation.Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, keeping them informed about project developments and updates.Contract and Financial Management: Handle financial administration, budget preparation, and monitoring of contracts as needed for the project.Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Director, project team, and other relevant stakeholders to keep the project on track and address strategic issues as they arise.
Support other classification development projects and tasks as directed by the Director.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines.Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both collaboratively and independently with initiative.High accuracy in managing administrative tasks and documentation.Strong decision-making skills with professional judgment.Ability to adjust to changing priorities and environments.Requirements/qualifications:Qualifications in project management desirable.Experience in natural language processing (NLP) or artificial intelligence (AI) software and/or health information management would be an advantage.To Apply:To be eligible it is essential that applicants hold Australian Citizenship and have the ability to obtain and maintain a national police check.
