First Nations Systems and DataFirst Nations Cultural SafetyFirst Nations GovernanceFirst Nations Pathways and InnovationThe Program Coordinator role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to promoting equity for First Nations communities and have experience in project coordination, research, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and achieving high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Apart from other skills, possessing graphic design or data & analytics skills will be desirable.

Program Coordinators are responsible for coordinating multiple activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and facilitating effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders. This role involves managing workflows, coordinating stakeholder engagement, undertaking research, and ensuring the timely delivery of project milestones and/or policy development and implementation.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Coordinating key projects and policy initiatives to improve outcomes for First Nations peoples, ensuring alignment with the First Nations Group's objectives and broader Agency goals.Facilitating culturally safe environments for First Nations peoples and engaging effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.Coordinating engagement activities, building and maintaining relationships with First Nations communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to manage successful project and/or policy development and implementation.Identifying opportunities for business improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and performance of outcomes for First Nations peoples.Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship. Failure to do so may jeopardise your offer of employment.
Dependent on the role, the appropriate Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People check may be required as per State/Territory legislation. In addition to these checks, a Worker Screening Check issued by the relevant State/Territory worker screening unit will also be required for any role for which the normal duties are likely to require more than incidental contact with people with disability.
