Join a Federal Government Department's centralised procurement team, where you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice and managing compliance and reporting for all non-ICT procurement activities. This team ensures that business outcomes are achieved by adhering to government legislation, financial frameworks, policies, and regulations.
Your new role
The role requires experience in procurement related policies and implementation, along with a solid understanding of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs). Strong strategic and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to provide high-quality procurement policy advice in line with government legislation, financial frameworks, policies, and regulations.
You will be capable of handling complex issues, exercising sound judgement, and solving problems. Strong organisational skills are necessary to meet short deadlines with competing priorities and deliver high-standard outcomes. Additionally, well-developed oral, written, and interpersonal skills are required to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment, both technical and non-technical.
What you'll need to succeed
Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting.
Experience using SAP or a similar Financial Management Information System and Excel expertise.
What you'll get in return
This role is available on an ongoing basis if you hold a permanent role at either the APS5 or APS6 level. For those who are looking for a role which may lead to permanency, a non-ongoing contract will be offered up to a period of 12 months.
