Hudson is assisting a Federal Government Agency department in sourcing suitable Policy Analysts with highly developed written skills, demonstrated research skills, and the ability to prioritise and work flexibly across a range of project, program, and stakeholder engagement tasks.
We are looking for motivated and talented candidates who can start as soon as possible.
The position offers an initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
While the preferred location is Canberra, our client is open to candidates based interstate.
As a Policy Analyst, you will: Play a key role in supporting a significant evaluation project, including assisting in analysis and modeling to assess impacts on areas such as medicine shortages, medicine wastage, the viability of low-cost medicines, regulatory burden, and supply risks.
Support the team in constructing new data sets on medicine shortages and inventory management to enhance the quality of the analyses.
Assist in policy analysis of other related pricing reforms as required.
Contribute to drafting reports and documentation related to the evaluation project, ensuring comprehensive and accurate reporting.
To be successful in the short-listing process, candidates will be required to possess the following capabilities: Essential Requirements: Strong writing and analytical skills.
Advanced Excel skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively support policy analysis.
Experience in policy analysis and evaluation.
Desirable qualifications and experience: Strong communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality written work in a range of formats for a variety of audiences.
An interest or background in health policy, the pharmaceutical industry, medical supply chains, or similar areas.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment which is fast-paced and dynamic.
Strong stakeholder engagement and liaison skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships.
Attention to detail.
Project management and governance skills.
A Baseline security clearance is preferred but not essential for this role.
