As a Logistics Data Analyst, you will work within a collaborative team to collect, analyse, and interpret logistics data, ensuring that the Joint Logistics Command is equipped with the information needed to optimise supply chain performance.
Your insights will directly contribute to improving inventory management, forecasting accuracy, and operational preparedness.
About our Team The Directorate of Logistics Performance and Improvement (DLPI) is a dynamic team that is involved in a wide range of Logistics improvements initiatives across Defence.
The Directorate provides the Executive Director Logistics Assurance (EDLA) and Commander Joint Logistics (CJLOG) with the capability to lead reform by identifying and implementing logistics improvement activities across JLC and the wider DLN.
Much of the Directorates work to date has involved the identification of strategies to remediate existing logistic concerns identified by the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) and the Defence Integrity Division.
The Directorate is actively involved in business improvement initiatives in the Joint Logistics Units and wider Defence, including volumetrics and supporting the preparation and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for identifying trends and insights.
Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and reporting.
Knowledge of logistics or supply chain operations.
Proficiency in SQL or other database query languages.
Good communication skills to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite of applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Key Responsibilities: Collect, clean, and analyse logistics data from various sources.
Assist with the development and maintenance of logistics dashboards and reports to monitor key logistics performance metrics.
Provide insights to support decision-making in areas such as inventory management, demand forecasting, and transportation optimisation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of logistics data systems.
