HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of APS6 Level Business Analyst (Labour Hire) on behalf of our client, located in SURRY HILLS NSW .
The Service Design and Improvement Branch is dedicated to refining internal service delivery processes and systems to provide better experiences for participants. The branch collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create and implement solutions that streamline processes, improve timelines, and enhance the quality of outcomes for participants.
Responsibilities: Produce reports, interpret data, and analyse results using standard statistical techniques. Coordinate divisional and branch reporting requirements to monitor and track improvement and performance outcomes. Develop business functional requirements and resources consistent with contractual, legislative, and policy environments. Translate business metrics to inform internal stakeholder requirements, optimising customer experience. Design and deliver workshops, communication, and consultation resources that support complex systems and business information gathering and sharing. Establish and implement governance and compliance processes, dashboards, and management systems. Implement and maintain audit and risk processes, controls, and undertake issues resolution. Evaluate the effectiveness of proposed solutions and design. Support the transition of business requirements to build teams for development. Support verification testing of the built solution to ensure alignment with business requirements. Key Skills Required: Business Process Analysis: Proficiency in analysing and documenting current vs. future state process maps. Requirement Gathering: Ability to elicit, document, and manage business requirements into Epics and User Stories. Problem-solving: Strong skills in identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements. Testing: Capability to undertake systems testing against defined acceptance criteria during the build and testing cycles. Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate workshops with various stakeholders, including Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, and technology teams. Risk Assessment: Identify potential issues or risks, track problems, recommend alternatives, and escalate issues as appropriate. Support for Product End Users: Respond to feedback, collect evidence of defects, organise testing, or other activities. System Thinking: Develop and maintain subject matter expertise across new systems and processes within the Agency. Desirable Skills: Data Analysis: Skill in analysing data to identify trends and insights. Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Agile or Kanban. Business Analysis Tools: Knowledge of tools like Jira and Confluence for documentation and workflow management. Process Improvement: Experience in recommending and implementing process improvements. Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with team members from various disciplines. About You: You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You have a proven track record in business process analysis and requirement gathering. You excel in stakeholder engagement and facilitation. You are adept at risk assessment and mitigation. You are experienced in supporting product end users and system thinking. You bring desirable skills in data analysis, agile methodologies, and business analysis tools.
