Knowledge and Intelligence (K&I) Branch within the Joint Military Police Unit is seeking an innovative and autonomous knowledge manager who has a can do attitude and is able to work within legislative frameworks to support government policy and development, while supporting Defence's mission.

In this role you will:

Coordinate the K&I Digitisation Project over the next two financial years to improve knowledge and information access within Joint Military Police. Prepare, plan and coordinate future Joint Military Police Unit responses to strategic outcomes stemming from the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide. Conduct complex research across a number of databases and systems, including Objective and the Defence ERP Case Management Solution (DECMS). Manage, provide detailed advice and interpret/apply legislative, policy and regulatory requirements on the life cycle and management of information and records, including security classified information. Conduct compliance monitoring and reporting activities for systems and practices. Create and foster functioning networks and relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Take initiative to investigate and recommend solutions for minor to complex issues and enquiries, and apply the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to provide advice and services. About our Team
The Joint Military Police Unit (JMPU) conducts specialist military policing from 26 Defence base locations, nationwide and overseas.
The JMPU also offers support to the civilian police and the general community in Defence related matters.
These positions will give the successful applicant the opportunity to work in a records management team which is integrated within a Military Police environment.

Within JMPU, the Knowledge and Intelligence (K&I) Directorate is responsible for providing intelligence products and information management support to the policing aspects of JMPU.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will:
Have high level organisational skills, self-drive and initiative with the ability to influence others to achieve tasks and business objectives. Have experience working with databases and an eDRMS, preferably Objective. Have well-developed oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Understand and manage competing priorities, and adjust when urgent requests arise. Have knowledge of legislation, regulatory requirements, life cycle of records and policy, procedures and administrative guidance to provide advice and support to staff and stakeholders.
