The ICT Service Delivery function delivers ICT procurement, contract management, Software Asset Management and vendor relationship management services. The team delivers critical support services to ensure the branch and Division is effectively managing the procurement of ICT goods and services, monitoring contract renewals in collaboration with contract managers and monitoring vendor performance under relevant ICT sourcing contracts.
The ICT Sourcing Specialist role works in partnership with the agency Procurement team to deliver ICT procurements from the transactional to strategic level. The role provides specialist procurement and contract support for a range of important ICT Services to ACIC and our policing partners, many of which have underlying support and maintenance contracts. This role supports Senior ICT Engineers in managing their ICT contracts by tracking renewals, licence consumption, and facilitating new procurements in conjunction with the agency's procurement team.
Key responsibilities: Provide specialist assistance to key contract variation activities, and manage Official Orders/Variations for the Intelligence and Information Systems Division (IIS).Lead the end-to-end procurement process, including market analysis, tender development, evaluation, and negotiation.Ensure procurement activities deliver value for money and comply with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).Draft, manage, and monitor contracts to ensure compliance and effective delivery of goods or services.Identify and resolve contract performance issues and disputes, escalating when necessary.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and team members to understand procurement requirements, provide expert advice, contract management and successful services.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Ensure all procurement activities adhere to relevant legislation, policies, and ethical standards.Identify risks associated with procurement activities and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.Contribute to the development and enhancement of procurement policies, templates, and systems.Monitor market trends and recommend innovative approaches to improve procurement outcomes.Support team initiatives by contributing to training sessions and organizational improvement projects.Our ideal candidate
