In these roles, you will be part of a team using your skills in API gateways, connectivity, and integration platforms (e.g.
MuleSoft, Apigee or similar applications).
We have three core priorities: building best-in-class people to support Defence Digital Group's (DDG) efforts, underpinned by best-in-class global platforms, supported by best-in-class sovereign capabilities.
Our goal is to provide our warfighters and support teams the appropriate technologies needed to fight and win in the digital age.
These roles will be part of larger project teams to develop solutions and deliver capability.
These are new roles in a growing Branch, and you will be part of the teams instrumental in helping to build both human and technical capabilities to achieve the Defence mission.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP).
This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.

About our Team You will be part of a team of ICT professionals delivering complex projects across key Digital domains in both the Military and Enterprise Systems Divisions within Defence Digital Group.
These roles will provide technical expertise, in a matrixed construct, as teams and individuals are embedded into projects as needed.

Our Ideal Candidate You will have one or more of the following: Knowledge of contemporary Data integration patterns and technologies that connect applications, services and systems across Cloud and on-premises environments; The ability to design/implement/configure API gateways to control traffic, enforce security principles and enable routing between APIs; Experience in building reusable integration components and APIs to support system-to-system communication, data transformation, and business process orchestration; Experience in designing and implementing seamless data flow, API connectivity, and secure communication between disparate systems while optimising performance and scalability; Experience working in cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes.
