Capital Recruit are currently working with a government agency to recruit an APS6/EL1 Secretariat Officer for a permanent S26 transfer.
This is a fast-paced environment that requires an individual with high-level administrative, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills; who operates at their best in a dynamic and quickly changing environment; contributes to team capability and culture; has strong attention to detail; and can manage multiple activities and competing priorities.

The role
As the Secretariat Officer you will:
Provide high-level secretariat support to multiple committees.
Provide high-level advice to Committee Members.
Implement and deliver governance arrangements.
Coordinate meeting arrangements, draft briefs, agendas, papers, minutes, and manage actions arising.
Coordinate workflow and dependencies across various activities and teams.
Contribute to and maintain section planning and strategy, and report on progress and outcomes.
Oversee the maintenance of enterprise governance and committee commitments.
Assist in the development and implementation of day-to-day procedures, including the training and education of staff to ensure compliance of processes.
Lead work to develop statements of practice and other material that articulates operations and processes, for internal and external stakeholders.
Adhoc duties as required.
Skills & Experience
The successful applicant will be an experienced Secretariat Officer who has:
Proven experience as a Secretariat Officer at the APS6/EL1 level.
Clear and strong communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and be able to produce relevant timely correspondence in a clear understandable language.
Minimum Baseline Clearance required.
Experience within a role that requires sound judgement and high levels of personal integrity, sensitivity, confidentiality, and discretion.
