$91,702 - $104,753 + 15% BDCP + up to 15.4% SuperannuationReid - ACTThe RoleA suitably qualified and experienced individual is sought to undertake the roles and responsibilities of a Cyber Security Specialist at the APS 6 level.Responsibilities include:Commitment to Defence leadership behaviours, including adhering to Defence's values, accountability, risk management, inclusivity, partnerships, and building high-performance teams.Apply their knowledge and experience of computer-based systems to quickly gain an understanding of system function, operation and security posture, in order to provide support to CISO through coordination and delivery of security products and the provision of technical advice relating to the security risk associated with the systems function, design and implemented security controls.Provide security advice on Defence systems throughout the capability life cycle including the assessment of risk and evaluation of security posture.Development of security requirements, policies and procedures.This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). For further information, please contact the contact officer.About our TeamThe position is within Directorate of Cyber Security Engineering (CSE), a dynamic team within Defence Cyber Information Assurance Branch (DCIAB).The DCSE team directly supports CISO by coordinating cyber security engineering efforts across Defence to ensure that cyber security risk is adequately managed across the ICT, OT and Mission Systems engineered by or on behalf of Defence.The DCSE team works with Defence stakeholders such as Defence Digital Group and Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, providing guidance to capability programs throughout the Systems Engineering lifecycle to ensure critical systems are designed in a manner that is cyber-resilient, authorised and integrated into the wider Defence security ecosystem.The CSE team works collaboratively with Cyber teams across Defence, and is responsible for the development of a unified approach for cyber security engineering and system assessment and authorisation.Our Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have an interest in cyber security, willingness to learn new skills outside of their comfort zone and the motivation to continually develop themselves.Candidates must:Have strong analytical skills in the field of cyber security with the ability to apply these skills across a range of Defence systems.Be willing to contribute to a culture of collaboration and sharing of knowledge within a dynamic work environment that incorporates lessons learned in order to achieve optimal results.Have a desire to learn and continually develop new skills outside of their current qualifications in order to support Defence capability needs.Have the ability to prioritise and manage tasks in a demanding environment.Have the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.Problem solve and achieve set outcomes.Have an understanding of, and experience in the application of engineering judgement.#J-18808-Ljbffr
