About the roleThe Cyber Security Officer, reporting to the Assistant Director Cyber Security Operations, is responsible for supporting the Agency's Cyber Security Operations (CSO) capability. As part of the Cyber Security Team, we:
The CSO team is responsible for continuously monitoring, detecting, and reporting on cyber security incidents and vulnerabilities to assess the level of threat to the agency, including risk identification and analysis. This includes providing the technical expertise to manage the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform, vulnerability scanning systems, and other cyber security capabilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include (you may undertake some or all of the following):

Continuously monitor and detect cyber security incidents.
Report on vulnerabilities and assess threats to the agency.
Manage the SIEM platform and vulnerability scanning systems.

Our Ideal CandidateTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills, and attributes:

Experience in cyber security operations.
Technical expertise in managing security platforms.
Strong analytical skills for risk assessment.

Desirable AttributesAdditional desirable attributes include:

Relevant certifications in cyber security.
Experience in a similar role within government or large organizations.
