Salary: $91,702 - $104,753 + up to 15.4% Superannuation

The Role
Within the Royal Australian Navy, Training Force (TF) has undergone a significant transformation to ensure we are able to meet the future training demand, as well as the learner's expectations of the larger future Navy workforce, within a continuous shipbuilding context that is delivering newer and more complex capabilities over the next 50 years.
The Business Manager (Financial Reporting and Costing) role sits within the Business Resource team whose primary purpose is the coordination and management of budget, procurement, administration and governance related functions.
As Business Manager (Financial Reporting and Costing) you will use your analytical skills and budget knowledge to provide financial expertise and guidance to the team.
You will help analyse financial data, prepare reports, and interpret financial reporting to support decision-making.
You will manage and report on the Cost Model and Forecasting Tool for Training Force.
In this position you will play a key role in enabling an understanding of commercial and financial risks and opportunities through the budget and procurement lifecycle across Training Force.
Reporting to the Deputy Director Business Resource Management, you will assist in budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation, ensuring the efficient use of financial resources within Training Force.
You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and be able to work in a small team in a multidisciplinary environment and roles with competing priorities.
Additionally, you will provide detailed advice in relation to financial strategies, risk management and compliance with relevant regulations and policy.
About our Team
The Business and Resource Management Team sits within the Business Enterprise Management Directorate at Training Force Headquarters.
The team performs centralised business management functions and are based in geographically located around Australia.
This role reports to the Deputy Director Business Resource Management currently located at Training Force Headquarters, Campbell Park.

The Business Manager (Financial Reporting and Costing) is accountable to set work priorities and manage workflows.
They are expected to be capable of building team capability through coaching, feedback and developing the quality of work undertaken by others within the work unit.
They will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues.
They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
