Location: Canberra Position Type: Ongoing Salary: $90,199-$136,660 About the role Working within the Capability Support Branch, the Business Analyst Support and Business Analysts will analyse complex business problems and facilitate the development of business requirements, business processes and business rules to uplift and deliver new capabilities for the ACIC as well as contribute to Business Analysis practice management activities. Key responsibilities APS6 Business Analyst Support: Analyse business problems and assist in the development of visions, strategies, blueprints, roadmaps and business processes assisting in the uplift and delivery of new capabilities for the ACIC. Assist in developing and reviewing business requirements, use cases, and user scenarios relating to the development of new or enhanced capability. Coordinate the investigation, analysis gathering and review of existing and new business requirements to meet stakeholder objectives. Research and analyse specific information system and technologies, coordinate recommendations for enhancements to proposed capabilities. Key responsibilities EL1 Business Analyst: Analyse complex business problems and facilitate the development of visions, strategies, blueprints, roadmaps and business processes to uplift and deliver new capabilities for the ACIC. Develop and review business requirements, use cases, and user scenarios relating to the development of new or enhanced capability. Methodically investigate, analyse, gather and review existing and new business requirements to meet stakeholder objectives. Research and analyse specific information system and technologies, make recommendations for enhancements to proposed capabilities. Our ideal candidate To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes: Experience in the analysis of business problems. Experience with facilitation and the development and documentation of business processes, functional and non-functional requirements, and user stories to uplift and deliver new capabilities for the ACIC as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience in supporting the development of technical documentation including; effort estimates, system/UI specifications, change specifications, requirements matrices, UML diagrams, user and operational guides, and other documentation as required. Ability to work constructively as part of multi-disciplinary teams on delivery of business and ICT solutions to support business outcomes. Experience within Law Enforcement or Intelligence Agencies is highly desirable.  Eligibility Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
