The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare.
As an Agency, we support more than , participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability.
For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need.
The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.

Identified Positions are not restricted only to First Nations Australians applicants.A new role awaitsWe have incredible and unique opportunities for Planners to join our Remote Services team.
The team is responsible for engaging with participants and managing participant plans and supports across a wide and diverse community.
The APS5 Planner will undertake planning activities and tasks related to the participant journey.
You will have a significant level of contact with our internal and external stakeholders.
Where you can add valueThe roles work in the remote service field.
This may involve frequent travel to remote Indigenous communities over long distances in a 4WD vehicle and/or in a small aircraft.
The provision of service is often conducted outside of a "normal" office environment and requires walking within communities.
This work may require manual handling tasks e.g.
lift/carry equipment and changing a 4WD tyre.
Accommodation standards in remote communities are generally of a more basic standard than usually found in major cities and towns.
Some of the most important elements of this role include: regular travel to and from remote and very remote locations to undertake planning meetings and check ins with participants.
build strong relationships with community organisations, groups and members to improve outcomes for participants in remote and very remote locations.
use available evidence and an understanding of community ways of working to build fit for purpose NDIS plans for participants living in remote and very remote locations.utilising a range of resources such as interpreters and translated documents, communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants, families and communities to explain the National Disability Insurance Scheme, mainstream supports and services.
support the development and implementation of targeted service delivery approaches for remote and very remote areas.
Enough about us, let's talk about youAPS 5 Planners are a key service delivery role for the NDIA and gather information from participants and planning partners over the phone and/or in person to build quality participant plans.
You will ensure all participant plans are compliant with relevant legislation, policy and practice guidance.
