As the APS 5 Logistics Assurance Officer, you will work in a small Compliance and Assurance team providing assurance that Defence assets and inventory at all Joint Logistics Unit (West) sites are compliant with all Defence logistics legislation, policies, and procedures.
Under limited direction, you will undertake complex logistics compliance and assurance work within an integrated workforce.
You will conduct internal auditing on logistics governance requirements; undertake technical research and analysis on stock discrepancies, management of Discrepancy Reports, and investigation for prompt resolutions.
The role will also include the development and implementation of stock take plans, undertaking stock take and assurance activities for all warehouse and Supply Customer Accounts, including assurance checks on High Security Items.
The role requires liaison with both internal and external stakeholders; therefore, excellent communication skills are essential.

Experience working in a similar role ensuring the alignment of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
Experience in performing complex physical asset existence verification activities and corrective action requirements on asset holdings.
Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills, especially in preparing responses to correspondence, briefs, and reports for management.
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain effective relationships with team members and key stakeholders to achieve desired results.
