About the role Provides day-to-day administrative, finance, and procurement support. Engages internally with Judges, executives, managers, and staff, and externally with vendors, logistics, and other Commonwealth agencies. Contributes to the ongoing success of the IT department, which comprises 100+ IT staff located throughout Australia delivering services to assist in the effective operations of the Courts and Tribunals. Offers a flexible and hybrid model of working in the office and at home (subject to approval). Duties Finance Administration Invoice processing including receipting of goods/services. Purchase orders, credit card acquittals, and routing approvals to the relevant delegate in Finance One. Coordinate and liaise with the Finance team on IT year-end accruals. Reimbursement approvals in line with internal policies. Procurement Procurement of ad-hoc and low value procurements including request for quotes, collating information for the approving delegate and placing orders. Procurement of ad-hoc end user IT hardware and accessories such as iPhones and iPads in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and internal policies and procedures. Assisting with the drafting and obtaining Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 s23 delegate approvals. Monitoring deliveries and liaising with vendors on ETAs, delays, incorrect orders, and other related fulfilment issues. Administrative and Coordination Support Inbox management for several IT administration related mailboxes. Mobile device support including international roaming queries, repairs and warranty. Administrative support for the IT team as required and consistent with this role, including updating Training Register in SharePoint. Contributing to the continuous improvement of administrative processes. Selection criteria Demonstrated minimum 12 months experience in performing finance administration, IT procurement support and administrative duties. Working knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), legislative and compliance framework. Attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task and self-manage competing priorities with limited direction in a dynamic environment. Eligibility Australian citizenship – the successful applicant must hold Australian citizenship. Security and character clearance – the successful applicant must satisfy a Police Records Check, and may also be required to complete security clearances during the course of their employment. Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period. Interested candidates who have received a redundancy benefit from an APS agency are welcome to apply but note that they cannot be engaged until their redundancy benefit period has expired.
