I am partnered with a Federal Government Agency in the heart of Geelong to recruit an APS5 Internal Review Officer for a 12 month, full-time temporary assignment with the potential to extend.
Your new role The APS5 Review Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex work. This role is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and precedents. As a team member, you will perform work that involves team leadership responsibilities, including setting priorities and allocating work to other lower-level team members within the team. The Reviews Branch is the central point of coordination for handling and resolution of reviews and complaints.
Key Responsibilities: Work with participants to gather information regarding the nature and context of review requests, informing participants and their representatives about decisions, reviews, and the appeals process. Undertake evidence-based decision making. Monitor and manage caseloads, ensuring internal reviews are completed within set timeframes. Contribute to quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery practice, processes, and systems. What you'll need to succeed: You have experience in handling reviews and complaints, ideally within a similar context. You are skilled in evidence-based decision making and familiar with relevant legislation and policies. You possess strong organisational skills to manage caseloads effectively. You are a team player with leadership capabilities, able to set priorities and allocate work efficiently. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a government or regulatory environment. Strong understanding of the NDIS Act, NDIS rules, and related policies. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in the disability, health or aged care sectors is desirable.
