The Role
Within the Contract Management function an APS 5 Contract Data Support Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex contract management work within an integrated workforce.
Working within a Commercial Team, the Contract Management Officer will provide support to apply effective contract management and administration of the Regional Maintenance Provider – North East contract.
The APS 5 Contract Data Support Officer will interpret and provide advice within the contract management function, including pricing and cost analysis outputs based on legislation, policy and contractual requirements. They will undertake specialist research and analysis, financial administration functions, conduct reviews and perform procedural and clerical support work to achieve results.
The APS 5 Contract Data Support Officer will be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

Regional Maintenance Centre (RMC) North East is located in Cairns and will provide capability support to the Royal Australian Navy. The Ideal Candidate will be able to:
Assist with and undertake procurement planning, contract formation and contract management activities, ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures.Coordinate the provision of advice, assistance and services for procurement policy, technical, commercial, legal, and other requirements as applicable in order to support contract management outcomes.Assist with financial investigation tasks including examination, analysis and reporting on pricing proposals, tender evaluations, providing specialist costing and financial advice and guidance on financial and commercial aspects of tenders or contracts.Apply knowledge to deliver procurement related documentation including templates, schedule, correspondence, reports, submissions, plans and strategies, risk and performance reviews, contract change proposals and other contract management documentation.Understand and apply legal principles, legislative and mandatory policy compliance obligations, critical commercial risk and performance requirements related to procurement and contract management.Engage and negotiate with clients and stakeholders including project team members and subject matter experts and respond to complex enquiries and contract management issues.Assess and recommend mitigation strategies for the risks associated with contract management activities, supplier's performance and compliance with mandatory requirements and suggest relevant improvement.Monitor and manage contract administration, performance and risks against the contract and contribute to implementing appropriate action.Start your application by clicking the "begin" button.#J-18808-Ljbffr
