The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated APS 5 ICT Customer Support Officer to support the Defence Aviation Safety Reporting (ASR) Service Desk through the provision of ICT user support.
The ICT system is a critical capability that is essential to the identification, tracking and management of aviation safety hazards.The successful candidate will interpret and provide service support to users based on knowledge of the ICT system as well as related policy and procedures.
They will also undertake moderately complex incident management, communications and applications work.Key Responsibilities: Working autonomously to log, respond to, and resolve service requests, information requests, incidents, problems and requests for change from users.Ensuring that user support documentation is available and in an appropriate format.Applying knowledge of ICT system capabilities in support of Service Desk activities.Supporting development and delivery of products and training related to the use of the system.About our TeamThe Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) operates to enhance and promote the safety of military aviation through the implementation of a Defence Aviation Safety Program.
As part of DASA, the Defence Flight Safety Bureau (DFSB) supports the prevention of military aerospace accidents and enhances flight safety through a systemic approach to investigation, data collection, research, education and promotion.The Reporting Intelligence and Research (RIR) directorate within DFSB drives specialist elements of DFSB's capability through the development and maintenance of Defence aviation safety reporting and intelligence systems, as well as safety culture, research and applied psychological and human factors-related support and programs.The ASR Support Officer is responsible for routine management of the ASR database and related Service Desk functions.
The ASR system has approximately 7,000 users (approximately 4,000 reports processed per year) and is utilised across Defence for the reporting and tracking of aviation safety events and issues.
