The Role
Within the Directorate of Logistics Systems Sustainment, an APS4 Administration Officer is accountable under broad direction to perform and contributes to planning and program management requirements by providing operational and administrative support for the Logistic Management Functions within Joint Logistics Command (JLC). 

An APS4 Administration Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow, making decisions within their defined parameters relating to area of responsibility and will seek guidance when required. 
They are accountable to have a good understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements. They may exercise some discretion with respect to how legislation, procedures and guidelines are interpreted and applied to their work. 

They will provide administrative support that is informed and directed by their knowledge of the administration function. Under limited directions perform and achieve moderately complex procedural, operational, logistics, administrative and business support work within an integrated workforce. 
As an APS4 Administration Officer, they will exercise initiative and work under direction to, investigate and resolve problems by using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of actions and acquire knowledge of database management systems that support logistics activities to provide straightforward advice.

Provide administrative support to the JCG ERP Business Transformation Program and Logistics Systems Transition activities to support business readiness with the adoption of Defence ERP.

Duties including but not limited to:

Coordinate and perform administrative and business support activities for the Directorate of Logistics Systems Sustainment, including supporting JCG ERP Business Readiness Program and relevant logistics systems activities to meet stakeholder needs.Apply the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to provide advice and support for a range of complex corporate, administration logistic and business support activities.Work collaboratively, build and sustain effective relationships and provide constructive feedback and engage and work collaboratively with stakeholders as required.Take the initiative to progress work to meet business objectives, provide advice and recommendations as required.Resolve problems and recommend alternative courses of action.Assist to build the team and with continuous improvement. $76,277 - $83,274 + up to 15.4% SuperannuationLaverton - VIC

About our Team
The Directorate of Logistics Systems Sustainment (DLSS) is located in Canberra and Melbourne, and is one of three directorates within the Logistics Systems Branch.

The Directorate consists of a blended APS, ADF and contractor workforce, many with deep subject matter expertise and specialist skills. It is agile to meet the changing business demands of the organisation, including embracing ERP.
