$76,277 - $104,753 + up to 15.4% Superannuation Edinburgh - SA The Role The Radio Frequency (RF) System Researcher/Technologist will, under limited guidance, undertake scientific experimentation and engineering activities within the RF domain to support the vulnerability assessment of complex RF systems and technologies.
They will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to undertake the analysis of radar and RF system performance through instrumentation, electronics, and algorithm and signal processing analysis.
The RF Researcher/Technologist will undertake applied research and experimentation to develop insights into the complex system interactions of these elements.
Key Requirements Under guidance:  Apply experimental and analytical techniques or conduct research activities to develop capabilities for the vulnerability assessment of complex systems and technologies.
Apply knowledge, principles and techniques in RF measurement, test instrument control and/or engineering in complex RF based laboratory experimentation.
Work collaboratively in teams of APS and contracted staff to support research and analysis activities.

Our Ideal Candidate Collaborate with R&D partners in academia, industry, and other international government research laboratories to progress and meet agreed deliverables as part of international workshare programs.
Report on the progress and outcomes of activities through high quality scientific and engineering reports including briefs and presentations.
Manage facilities and allocated resources, set work area priorities, and ensure S&T deliverables are met in a timely manner.
Highly Desirable Knowledge, familiarity and experience in one or more of: RF systems.
The use of electronic test, data acquisition and control equipment.
Software programming languages such as, Python, MATLAB and/or LabVIEW.
