We are looking for an energetic and mechanically minded individual to join our Workshop team! Reporting to the Supervisor of Welding and Fabrication, this position will assist in the design and construction of metal fabrications, and in the fabrication and welding repair of a variety of plant and machinery.As an Apprentice Welder / Metal Fabricator, you will be studying a Certificate III Engineering – Fabrication which is estimated to take up to 46 months to complete.To be successful in the role you will bring:Willingness to learn and adaptability: Enthusiasm for gaining new skills, embracing challenges, and adapting to different tasks and work environments.Positive attitude: A motivated, proactive approach to work, with dedication to achieving high standards and meeting commitments.Teamwork and communication skills: Confidence in working collaboratively, listening, asking questions and sharing ideas.Reliable with a strong work ethic: Consistent punctuality, commitment to the program, and a thorough approach to completing tasks and following instructions.The rewardsAn annual salary that is paid in line with the Local Government (State) Award, dependent upon your age and when you completed high school (plus 11.5% superannuation).4 weeks annual leave and additional time off to attend compulsory study.Flexible working conditions with access to a 9 day fortnight work arrangement, subject to operational requirements.The option for a Fitness Passport membership, which provides affordable access to multiple local fitness facilities, including gyms and pools, at a significantly reduced cost.An inclusive culture where the diverse background, experiences and perspectives of all our people are valued.An absolute focus on our peoples' safety and well being.Learning and career development opportunities.
