Apprentice Mechanical Fitter (Fitter & Turner Apprenticeship) Water & Waste Services/ Network Operations & Maintenance Temporary Full Time Apprenticeship (4 years) $47,250 (compromised of cash component $37,356 + annualised allowance $9,895) OR if over 21 years of age $64,432 (comprised of $50,940 + annualised allowance $13,493) pa plus superannuation Hervey Bay At Fraser Coast Regional Council our people are our most important asset and central to achieving our purpose of Building Better Communities Together.

If you're energetic, practical, and eager to learn, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience while working towards a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade).
As an apprentice, you'll develop key mechanical skills in maintaining and constructing Council's critical assets, such as Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants, pump stations, and infrastructure.
You'll receive guidance from experienced professionals, helping you become a fully qualified tradesperson.
If you have a strong interest in mechanical systems, can follow instructions, and bring a positive, safety-first attitude, this role is for you!
Please Note: This is not an automotive or heavy vehicle mechanic apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship has been made available with the assistance of funding under the Queensland Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work – First Start Program.
The First Start Program primarily targets young Queensland school leavers and disadvantaged job seekers considered at risk of enduring prolonged periods of unemployment and accordingly, certain information is required from applicants to confirm eligibility for participation.
