We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Tiler !
If you have a passion for creating beautiful spaces and are eager to learn the art of tiling, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
As an Apprentice Tiler with ECA: You'll be stepping into a dynamic learning environment.
You'll be placed with one of our host employers and guided through the intricacies of the trade, teaching you the tricks of the tiling trade that have been passed down through generations.
You'll have hands-on opportunities to work on real projects, gaining valuable skills and experience.
You can expect to work full-time, 40 hours per week + the opportunity to accrue an RDO each month.
Apprenticeship duration: 4 years You will have the opportunity to become trade qualified and earn your Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling We are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse work environment and strongly encourage applications from both men and women seeking an opportunity to build a career in the tiling industry.
1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th year candidates are encouraged to apply As a Tiling apprentice, you can expect to: Assist in preparing surfaces for tiling, including cleaning and leveling.
Learn to cut, shape, and lay tiles accurately to achieve desired patterns and designs.
Assist in the application of adhesives, grout, and sealants.
Observe safety practices and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional tiling projects.
Be proactive in seeking knowledge and improvement in tiling techniques.
Any other tasks requested by the host employer Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria: Genuine interest and enthusiasm for the Tiling trade Must hold a White Card or able to obtain ASAP Hold (or close to obtaining) a current Drivers License and have own reliable transport Work Experience within the construction industry is highly desirable Must be physically fit Be a perfectionist with an eye for the finer details Be reliable, resilient, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment Able to take direction Ability to work well in a team and take direction from others As an apprentice with ECA, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including: Award wages (paid fortnightly) + Super + Holiday Leave Loading + Allowances Paid TAFE block periods + Work shirts provided + Safety Equipment Long-term career prospects for the right candidate A dedicated Field Officer assigned for full mentoring and support during your apprenticeship, as well as a full team of staff overseeing your apprenticeship, ensuring you only need to focus on your work and college Genuine support for your personal wellbeing, including access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) A large network of Host Employers looking to host enthusiastic apprentices and help them become trade qualified Modern Award rates apply Access the PACT Calculator via Fairwork Website to help you understand your hourly rate.
