This is a leading hospital in Victoria that provides healthcare to more than 90,000 people across Northeast Victoria. This hospital is a major referral facility for people with complex health needs from Bright, Mansfield, Beechworth, Myrtleford, Yarrawonga, Euroa, and Benalla.
Your new role The ICT Infrastructure engineer plays a key role in responding to incidents and service requests. The role is responsible for the support, monitoring, and management of corporate and clinical application stacks, inclusive of underlying infrastructure, network, database, and middleware requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Evaluates new system software, installation and testing of new versions of system software. Supporting ICT applications and infrastructure services, managing vendor relationships Install and configure solutions and integrate with business process activities. Implement control, security, and audit ability measures during configuration, and during integration of hardware and infrastructure Prepare for business process, ICT service data, application, and infrastructure migration as part of the organisation's development methods. Design and implement IT architectures for the sustainable, adaptable, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all Applications and Reporting Systems. Develop application installation processes, procedures and standards, and improvements thereof. Implement data integrity monitoring and alerting to support the reliable operation of the Application Planning and decommissioning of redundant / End of Life (EOL) applications and utilities Investigate and diagnose problems using relevant subject management experts to assess and analyse root causes. Implement and maintain preventive, detective, and corrective measures in place (especially up-to-date security patches and virus control) across the enterprise to protect information systems and technology from malware (e.g., viruses, worms, spyware, spam). Ensure that endpoints (e.g., laptop, desktop, server and other mobile and network devices or software) are secured Maintain availability of business-critical information (manage backup, business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements) Review change requests for consistency with Information Management Principles and standard Information Technology (IT) operations, escalating exceptions to Manager as required. What you'll need to succeed Information technology degree or relevant industry certification Experience in administration & implementation of database management systems, including SQL Server Experience MS Active Directory architecture, security group management, and GPO deployments Experience with Microsoft Exchange environments and administration Experience in deploying and supporting remote access technologies Experience administering cross-platform systems, utilising varied integration techniques, interfaces and utilities Experience with backup technologies such as Veeam Experience of supporting firewalls/UTMs ITIL & VMWare Certification/Experience Experience with deploying & managing SCCM MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) or MCSE or equivalent is nice to have Experience using PowerShell Experience in centralised deployment and management of application updates and patches Willingness to travel between sites and relocate to Northeast Victoria Must have a licence What you'll get in return Flexible working conditions: The hospital offers flexible rosters, time off in lieu, parental leave, and generous leave allowances.
